Motion is called change of position like when car come in the motion it changes its place you can say change without any other force. It is described in time, velocity, displacement, acceleration. An object cannot change its velocity till any out force applied on it its described in newtons first law and that call newtons law of motion.More generally, the term motion signifies any temporal change in a physical system. For example, one can talk about motion of a wave or a quantum particle (or any other field) where the concept location does not apply.
